We are part of the development plan 1997-2000 promoted by the Basque government together with 18 organisations in the country, with the basic objective of developing a management model capable of improving competitive capacity in the future. The specific reference to be followed is the model proposed by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).

      "Environmental Management System (SGMA):

      We are part of the Sasieta association, an organisation under the auspices of the public administration whose function is to investigate ways of minimising waste material, the development of clean technologies and the rational use of resources.

      Management is directly involved in the implantation of the system, with the help of a technician trained for the purpose.

      Law of Risk Prevention

      We have completed the evaluation of risks involved at the workplace, and we have put in place the necessary organisation, resources and protection equipment both in general terms and in each particular instances.

      Quality Assurance:

      We are in the process of applying the ISO 9000 standard in order to implant a system of quality assurance and to obtain the ISO certificate. This process is scheduled to be completed in May 1999.
